This is our first year to join Alameda Country Fair Hobby Collection Competition.
We presented our clay dolls collection under education section. We participated the event to bring awareness to people about clay art.
We got pleasant surprise to win 1st place Hobby Collection Competition under Education category this year. We did not plan for that.
We just planned to share our happiness in making it and bring awareness about clay art.
It was a wonderful experience to see other people’s passions to collect or to make anything that they like as their hobby.
The Fair began in 1859 in downtown Oakland as a floral event and eventually moved to Pleasanton as the first county fair in 1912. Since that time, the Alameda County Fair has continued as an annual event (except for the War years,) dedicated to celebrating the heritage and diversity of the community. It is ranked among the top 50 Fairs in the U.S. and has won numerous national and international industry awards.

They also have many competition for adults from culinary arts, fiber arts, hand crafts, homebrew, physically or mentally challenged , creative living awards, fine arts, photography, poetry, garden floral, livestock show, small animal to wine barrel/wheel barrow completion.
